Climbing & Flying Fox

Flying through the air, over cliffs and canyons..... 100% pure adrenalin guaranteed! If you’re looking to fly high, then the rock maze at Tressdorfer Alm is the thing for you. Via ferrate of all levels of difficulty, rock towers, rope bridges, small caves and “abseil canyons” make the rock maze a playground for anyone looking for a safe yet exciting outdoor adventure experience.
Tarzan swings, a spider catch, rope course elements such as rope and net bridges, jungle bridge, barrel bridge and zip-line guarantee that extra adrenalin kick at dizzying heights.

Different routes / degrees of difficulty:
We’ve marked various routes in the maze according to their degrees of difficulty. With a single day ticket, you can use the maze as often as you like, choosing and combining routes according to taste and skill. Discover new routes as you make your own way through the maze!

YELLOW: Sight-seeing tour / total length approx. 400 m.
For anyone who wants to cross the rock maze without the use of special gear, the footpath also does justice to the word “labyrinth”. The narrow path winds its way around the maze over stones, rocks and roots – perfect for looking, taking pictures and learning how to get around in the woods.

BLUE: A taste of via ferrata / total length approx. 380 m
Easy descents, up to 6 m in height, via ferrate and trails on solid ground. This route takes you through several caves – and at least twice you’ve got to really suck in your gut!

RED: More demanding via ferrata routes up to 20 m in height / total length approx. 220 m
Rocky outcrops, safety ropes and specific harness techniques... plus a Tarzan swing – swinging on a rope over a canyon and landing in a net, just like a fly in a spider’s web. This route is definitely only for the bold and daring!

GREEN – Rope course elements:
Thrill & excitement at dizzying heights! Make your way from one end of the course to the other over shaky plank, barrel and net bridges to the Flying Fox, a zip-line that truly delivers!

FLYING FOX MILE:
Swing from tree to tree like Tarzan on a zip-line! Pure thrill and excitement!

Children: Children ages 6 and up are allowed on the children’s course if accompanied by a parent or guardian. For ages 6 – 14, the “supervision” of one parent or guardian is enough (minimum height 110 cm). Children ages 8 and up are allowed on the adult course (flying fox, red via ferrata, rope course elements) if accompanied by a parent or guardian and if they are at least 140 cm tall.

Rock maze / via ferrata routes are open from approx. mid/end May! Mountains of fun for ages 8 and up.

Introductory climbing, guided tours and via ferrata camps are offered in cooperation with mountain guide Sepp Szöke.
